Remodeling of the Schnucks store at 1615 Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia, Illinois, is expected to wrap up in early fall and, when finished, will include updates to every area and department of the 44,000-square-foot location.
The store, which has 62 employees, opened in 1986. According to the company, customers will notice new flooring, shelving, décor and paint package, as well as updated energy-efficient lighting throughout.
In the fresh area of the store, shoppers will be greeted with remodeled updates in the deli, bakery and seafood service areas, while the produce, dairy and beer departments will receive new refrigeration cases.
The Cahokia store will also be one of the early Schnucks locations to feature electronic shelf tags. In addition, the front end will receive all new checkstands, as well as two more self checkouts.
“Schnucks is committed to the Cahokia area and to serving all of our shoppers’ grocery needs,” said Brian Lomelino, Cahokia store manager. “Our teammates are excited and anxious to bring our customers a like-new store and improved shopping experience once the remodeling is complete.”
