Grocery leaders focused on store operations are planning to attend the Store Operations Summit, the latest event in the National Grocers Association’s Engage Series, taking place July 24-26 at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown in Kansas City, Missouri.
Registration is open for the summit, designed for store leaders who are focused on store operations and merchandising, and have core responsibilities aimed at growing the bottom line for their business.
“Attendees will leave our Engage Series events equipped with tactics to address the challenges of a dynamic food retail landscape,” said Greg Ferrara, NGA president and CEO.
“The NGA Store Operations Summit is the latest in our series of ops-focused educational events, which has garnered a great response from attendees who have embraced the opportunity to hear expert advice, learn best practices and share solutions for common challenges.”
Heading up the summit’s roster of presenters is Harold Lloyd, returning after a participating in previous sessions in Cincinnati and Salt Lake City. With decades of experience as a retailer, author, observer, adviser and presenter, Lloyd delivers tailored presentations designed to change attitudes and elevate performance.
“Our lessons for success will be driven by the 12 P’s, each focusing on a different aspect of store operations and offering important actionable takeaways,” Lloyd said. “Each builds toward the ultimate goal of sustainable profitability for the store operator.”
Topics covered include marketplace positioning, remodeling strategies, product assortment, promotions, property management, operating systems and customer loyalty.
The NGA Engage Series events are engineered to provide independent grocers with actionable insights, not just theoretical options. Participants will be led on a deep dive into operations with industry leaders and find themselves immersed in ideas designed to give independent operators an edge.
The interactive educational experience includes in-store experiences, industry guest speakers and networking.
Tours of area stores are being coordinated by Associated Wholesale Grocers, based in Kansas City.
Deadline to register for the NGA Store Operations Summit is July 25. Registration and more information can be found here.
