San Antonio, Texas-based Silver Eagle Beverages, in partnership with Communities In Schools of San Antonio, hosted a series of 11 presentations aimed to empower and equip students with the resources to make responsible choices and prevent underage drinking and drunk driving.
From Oct. 25-28, more than 2,500 students across 11 San Antonio area schools heard from speaker Jeremy Bates as part of Red Ribbon Week.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Communities in Schools of San Antonio to encourage young people to make responsible choices,” said John L. Nau III, chairman and CEO of Silver Eagle Beverages. “It is our hope that the students who heard from Jeremy Bates felt empowered and equipped to stand against underage drinking and drunk driving.”
Growing up in a family defined by addiction and dysfunction, Bates knows firsthand the importance of developing resiliency and cultivating dreams. His presentation, “The Hope Dealer,” is a prevention program that infuses live, interactive music, with relevant content, challenging youth to make healthy choices that reflect the greatness they deserve.
The “Hope Dealer” takes audiences on a journey through his life to demonstrate how “H-bombs” (hope, humor, head and heart) are at the core of the choices we make, especially those involving underage drinking and drunk driving.
