St. Cloud, Minnesota-based Coborn’s Inc. has announced the appointment of Keri Jones, former CEO of Christopher & Banks, to its board of directors. Jones began her role on May 24.
“As our organization continues to expand, we acknowledge Keri’s comprehensive and extensive retail experience and welcome her insight to our board,” said Chris Coborn, chairman and CEO of Coborn’s Inc. “Keri is an incredibly accomplished executive and brings a diverse background in retail, as well as significant strengths in implementing business best-practices that will benefit our company’s family of stores.”
Jones served as CEO for Christopher & Banks, a $350M specialty women’s apparel retailer, executing an 18-month turnaround for the business, reversing years of declining sales, losses and a diminishing customer base. She launched an extensive enterprise transformation, achieving sales growth, an increased customer base and dramatically improved profit performance.
From 2017-18, Jones served as chief merchant for Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a $10 billion national retailer, where she developed several growth strategies and significant operational improvements.
From 1989 to 2016, Jones also held multiple merchandising and operations roles for the Target Corp. As EVP of global supply chain, Jones led the company’s efforts to modernize its global supply chain. She was instrumental in accelerating Target’s omni-channel retail strategy, ultimately increasing sales.
Since 2019, Jones also has served on the board of directors for Northern Tool & Equipment. Her other board seats have included a NACD member, Christopher & Banks and as a member of the Dick’s Sports Matter Foundation.
Jones has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Wisconsin-Stout.
