The ROFDA (Retailer Owned Food Distributors & Associates) Board of Directors has appointed Jeff Pedersen as its new president and CEO, effective Feb. 1.
Pedersen comes to ROFDA from a career of almost 25 years with Associated Wholesale Grocers in Kansas City, Kansas, where he most recently served as the EVP, chief sales and support officer.
Before joining AWG, Pedersen held numerous grocery store retail positions throughout the Midwest, starting his industry journey as a courtesy clerk and working his way up to management. After leaving the retail side of the industry, he joined AWG where he held many executive level positions and served on a variety of grocery industry boards.
Pedersen’s experience, core values and passion for the independent retailer and those that support them will help ROFDA continue to grow and remain a strong organization and resource for its members, associates and suppliers, the board said.
Board members said they look forward to Pedersen applying his talent and experience executing the ROFDA Board’s strategic initiatives and help members address the ongoing needs of the independent retail grocers.
ROFDA is a cooperative formed to unite and leverage all available resources, industry best practices and business relationships to provide added value to its independent retail grocers.
