Arizona Food Marketing Alliance Names Leadership Award Recipients

The Arizona Food Marketing Alliance, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, has named its 2021 Leadership Award Recipients.

The recipients are James “Bubba” Moffett, president of Crescent Crown Distributing, who will be honored as the Supplier of the Year; Monica Garnes, president of Fry’s Food Stores, who will be honored as the Retailer of the Year; and Mike Donnelly, Kroger retired, who will be inducted into the Arizona Food Industry Hall of Fame.

The three will be honored at A Celebration of Leadership, Jan. 28 at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix.AFMA education foundation

AFMA has been honoring extraordinary leaders since 1965 and created the Arizona Food Industry Hall of Fame in 1987.

The Arizona Food Marketing Alliance was founded in 1943 as the state trade association for the grocery industry in Arizona. AFMA represents all food retailers including supermarkets, convenience stores, independents and their supplier partners representing more than $16 billion in sales revenue and 125,000 employees in the state.
