Atlanta-based Aptos, a provider of retail technology solutions, has added to its executive leadership team. David Bertolino has joined Aptos as CFO, Terry Geraghty has been named chief human resources officer and Jeremy Grunzweig has accepted the newly created role of Americas general manager.
All three individuals will report to CEO Pete Sinisgalli, who took the leadership spot at Aptos in November.
Buoyed by its capital commitment from Goldman Sachs in March 2020 and its subsequent acquisitions of Revionics and LS Retail, Aptos is on track to reach its highest year of revenue in company history in fiscal year 2021.
“We are maximizing investments in product innovation and accelerated roadmaps, global expansion and in recruiting and retaining the brightest talent that the retail software industry has to offer,” Sinisgalli said. “At a time when many of our competitors are scaling back resources, Aptos is doubling down on its mission to deliver world-class software and services that can help retailers digitally transform their enterprises and thrive.”
Bertolino joined Aptos on May 3 and has more than 20 years of experience in international finance management and cross-functional leadership for enterprise technology companies. In his role at Aptos, Bertolino is responsible for overseeing the company’s global finance organization, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and tax functions.
In December, Geraghty arrived at Aptos as interim chief human resources officer. After several months on the job in an interim capacity, Geraghty was so energized by Aptos’ culture, colleagues and future potential that he chose to join the company on a permanent basis in April. With more than 30 years of HR experience, he directs Aptos’ global human resources functions, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, HR technology and colleague training and development.
Grunzweig began his Aptos journey on May 10. As Americas general manager, Grunzweig oversees the sales, solution consulting, professional services and software delivery teams in the region. He also leads various global functions for Aptos, including sales operations, partner strategy and solution principals.
With more than 25 years of experience in improving organizational performance, Grunzweig has a strong track record in profit-and-loss management, sales, professional services and customer relationship management.
Grunzweig’s regional general manager role reflects Aptos’ recent shift to a territory-based organizational structure. As Aptos continues to grow – increasing the number of colleagues and customers while deepening geographic penetration and product strength – it recognized the need to bring greater speed and agility to its localized operations in its three core markets: the Americas; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Asia-Pacific.
“With more autonomy, flexibility and cohesion within each territory, our regional general managers can be more responsive and best adapt their business processes to the customers they serve,” said Sinisgalli. “This model, common in software companies of our size, helps avoid internal bottlenecks and empowers colleagues to deliver on customer needs throughout the entire lifecycle – from sales and implementation to renewal and beyond – ultimately increasing customer satisfaction which is our No. 1 goal.”
