The Amazon Fresh grocery store is now open to everyone in Woodland Hills, California, after opening Aug. 27 to select customers.
Low-priced items that are available every day include $0.15 bananas; $0.89 freshly baked bread; $1.79 freshly baked pizza slices; and $4.97 rotisserie chickens. In addition to those items, the store offers consistently low-prices across its aisles, like its Fresh brand natural whole chicken with no added hormones for 99 cents/lb., a 10-pack of Quaker Oatmeal (all flavors) for $2.50, and its made-to-order paninis and hoagies starting at $5.99.
As Amazon Fresh opens its doors, it also is offering deals on a variety of items, which include:
- Coca-Cola 12-pack (12 fl. oz. cans), $2.69;
- Frito-Lay chips (7.75-9.75 oz.), buy one get one free;
- Cheerios cereal (10.8-15.2 oz.), $1.99;
- Strawberries (16 oz. container), $1.99;
- Organic seedless grapes, $1.79/lb;.
- Atlantic salmon filets, $5.99/lb.;
- USDA Choice Fresh brand New York strip steak, $7.69/lb.; and
- Cursive Rosé, $9.29 (92 points).
In addition to offering a wide assortment of national brands, Amazon Fresh offers a range of local Los Angeles favorites including pastries from Rockenwagner Bakery, coffee from Groundwork Coffee, cured meats from Maestro Sausage, beer from Angel City Brewery and more.
A spokesperson said Amazon Fresh is “proud to serve the Woodland Hills community by creating hundreds of high-quality local jobs, and providing a new, low-priced grocery store in the area. To support those in need in the community, we’ve also worked over the last several months with local food banks to donate more than 350,000 pounds of food from our Woodland Hills Amazon Fresh store, which is the equivalent to over 300,000 meals.”
