Colorado-based Planterra Foods is making its debut in plant-based products this month with its introductory line, Ozo, which comes in three varieties: Ozo Burgers, Ground and Mexican-Seasoned Ground.

Made soy-free with no artificial ingredients, the Ozo protein offerings are certified vegan by BeVeg and non-GMO. Ozo packages

Powered by an exclusive proprietary blend of pea and rice protein fermented by shiitake mushrooms, this new line of products is a source of protein, with up to 22 grams per serving. According to Planterra, pea protein is a source of iron and has been known to aid in muscle growth, weight loss and heart health.

In addition to investing in health, Planterra strives to make a positive impact on the planet and environment. Ozo products use recyclable trays and cartons to store products as well as plant-based ink on all of its packaging.

“Our team at Planterra Foods is leading you in the world of plant-based protein with all the flavors and foods you love most, and we are starting this journey with the debut of Ozo,” said Darcey Macken, CEO. “We pride ourselves in being an approachable plant-based brand and Ozo is made so simply just like you would make in your own kitchen.”

As part of its efforts to get Ozo products out there, Planterra Foods will be meeting consumers curbside as a specially equipped fleet of Ozo vans will drive cross-country to deliver free, freshly cooked samples of these plant-based burgers, individually wrapped and ready to eat.

Ozo sampling vans will safely disperse in June, making stops in Denver/Boulder, Detroit and Los Angeles, followed by Seattle and Portland in July. In addition, special deliveries will be made to fire stations, hospitals and other locations to serve frontline workers this summer.

With more than one million free samples of Ozo to be delivered over the next 12 months, more stops for consumers across the country will be added for the fall and winter, including San Francisco, Atlanta and Nashville.

Consumers don’t have to wait for a curbside taste-testing. Ozo products will be available this month for purchase at a variety of retail outlets including: specific Albertsons, Safeway and Kroger locations as well as military bases across the country.
