The COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the annual Foundation Golf Tournament of the Southern California Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Council (SCFRC) on May 19, where the year’s scholarship recipients are usually released. However, the council is recognizing the 25 scholarship winners and has announced that the Foundation awarded scholarships totaling $59,750.
The SCFRC Scholarship Foundation was established to enhance membership benefits for frozen and refrigerated industry executives and to encourage the educational growth of SCFRC members and their immediate family members.
The 2020 scholarship recipients are: Peyton Baird, McKenna Boyle, Leonard Covarrubias, Hunter Crane, Hunter Esquivel, Alexandra Grosse, Amy Gutierrez, Kathryn Gutierrez, Hayley Hensley, Brooke Jackson, Avery Lawes, Colette Lozito, Vanessa Lozito, Alexandra Mastropaolo, Isabella Mastropaolo, Katelyn Salisbury, Ashley Sanders, Ryan Semle, Sarah Sherrick, Jillian Spencer, Katherine Stall, Zac Sturdivant, Brandi Syfert, Madison Van Andel and Joshua Yandell.
