Austin, Texas-based Revionics, a provider of retail pricing, promotions, markdowns and advanced analytics solutions, has named Murali Inguva to its team as director of engineering, data platform and science development. With more than 24 years of experience driving successful software development around critical data systems, Inguva assumes leadership of the company’s initiatives to refine data platform architectures, build extensible backend systems and create externally facing APIs.
In his new role, Inguva will be responsible for creating reliable, scalable and machine-learning-based products to serve many of the world’s largest retailers. Inguva will manage principal and senior developers within the company that design and implement pricing and promotion optimization software solutions leveraging state-of-the-art cloud services. He will operate in a cross-functional agile development environment, collaborating with product management, data science and other technical teams on both the architectural design of products and on future product capabilities.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Revionics team and to contribute my skillset to the momentum the company already has as a clear leader in SaaS-based pricing solutions,” said Inguva. “Retailers who’ve trusted Revionics for years have enjoyed amazing year-over-year ROI thanks to our AI offerings, and the key to continuing to deliver on that promise is to ensure our data system architecture remains strong.”
“At Revionics, data science is the bedrock of our solutions, and it’s what we rely on for retailers to understand the dynamics of pricing and promotions,” said Mike Ryan, SVP of science and product for Revionics. “I’m really excited about the talented team we’ve built to propel innovation forward and to make the platform more extensible and more powerful. With Murali as the director, our teams have an experienced leader to help ensure excellence in execution around our data platform and external data products.”
Before joining Revionics, Inguva served for almost two years as senior architect for Standard Chartered Bank, where he oversaw the stability and reliability of its global, multi-bank, multi-currency payment engine. Previously, Inguva held roles as enterprise architect and later chief technology officer at transportation logistics provider Patterson Companies. He also served as director of architecture for S&P Capital IQ and has held a variety of architect consulting roles with companies such as Capital One, Thomson Reuters and Bank of America. He holds a bachelor of technology in engineering degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University, along with a number of certifications in IT service and application development.
