Northgate González Market kicked off Las Posadas celebrations on Dec. 13 with its 23rd Annual Toy Giveaway, bringing gifts to more than 47,600 boys and girls throughout Southern California.
“It’s one of our favorite times of year for everyone at Northgate González Market. Seeing children’s eyes light up at the sight of Santa Claus and watching our store associates dress like elves and hand out toys make it all worthwhile,” said Co-President Miguel González. “We’d like to give a big thank you to our supporting partners Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.”
Families also were able to shop to prepare for their Las Posadas festivities while taking pictures with Santa. Northgate González Market says its 41 stores in Southern California have everything shoppers need for their holidays—like a variety of tamales, sweet masa made with pineapple or ingredients for traditional Mexican hot beverages like Ponche, Champurrado and Atole.
The annual toy giveaway is one way the González family says it shares gratitude to the stores’ loyal customers.
Northgate González Market, an Anaheim, California-based supermarket chain that caters to the Latino community, is family owned and operated.
