Palmetto Harmony, a vertically integrated hemp-derived CBD company with USDA Organic Certifications on its flower-only products, is now selling its products in all Earth Fare locations.
Palmetto Harmony, founded in 2015 and based in Conway, South Carolina, utilizes a lipid-infusion extraction process to create its CBD, full-spectrum products. Its solventless process, strict, third-party testing protocol and the organic certifications have been instrumental in the company’s growth and ultimately the decision by Earth Fare to carry the products, according to Palmetto Harmony.
Earth Fare, founded in 1975 in Asheville, North Carolina, operates 54 stores in 10 states.
“Getting into Earth Fare has been a long-time goal for us. They have a very strict ingredient and product philosophy; the most rigorous and uncompromising in the industry. Their dedication to sourcing only the highest quality products is in alignment with our commitment to safety, transparency, and efficacy. We are excited and proud to be on their shelves,” said Palmetto Harmony Founder and CEO Janel Ralph.
“We are delighted to have Palmetto Harmony, one of South Carolina’s first-generation industrial hemp processors, be recognized for their superior product by Earth Fare, a regional food company that focuses on high quality,” said South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers. “This is positive news for the South Carolina hemp industry.”
The Palmetto Harmony Sublingual Oils and suppositories can be found in the Earth Fare CBD Oil section and the Palmetto Harmony Topical Creams are in the first aid section of all Earth Fare Wellness departments.
Why the company was founded
Palmetto Harmony was created because of Janel Ralph’s daughter Harmony. She was born in 2007 with a rare genetic condition known as “smooth brain,” which produces multitudes of seizures that are considered untreatable by modern medicine, according to the company’s website.
Ralph was determined to find a treatment that would improve Harmony’s quality of life. In 2015, Ralph founded Palmetto Synergistic Research LLC and created a product line using her daughter’s name along with the nickname of the she was born in—Palmetto for South Carolina. The company produces full-spectrum high cannabinoid oils.
The website adds: “Harmony, and hundreds of other children like her, are now able to have a quality of life that never seemed possible in the past. Harmony can go days without any episodes and her pharmaceutical intake has reduced by 90 percent. This reduction in pharmaceutical intake has allowed her to become more alert and aware of her surroundings.
“With the help of neurological physicians, we have been able to quantitatively map her brain through QEEG’s and have evidence that Harmony’s brain is now able to function in areas that should not be possible because of her disorder. Janel will be the first to tell you that this business and these products have saved Harmony’s life and have allowed her family to professionally and personally grow closer together. She believes this plant can change this planet for the better as it has changed her family.”
