Cathy Heathscott has been promoted to deli-bakery supervisor for Edwards Food Giant stores in Arkansas. In addition, Steve Edwards Jr. has joined the family owned company as special projects manager.
Heathscott started her career with the Edwards family of stores in 2011 as a deli team member and soon was promoted to deli-bakery manager for the Edwards Food Giant in Bryant. She now oversees deli, bakery and foodservice programs in the company’s stores.
Heathscott is a graduate of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock and brings 17 years of management experience to her new role.
Edwards graduated last year from the University of Arkansas and decided to join the company full-time after working part-time in various roles while pursuing his degree. He currently oversees the online shopping banner, Edwards Curbside, and digital content for the company.
Edwards Food Giant was founded in 1959 and today owns and operates 12 stores in Arkansas, including eight Edwards Food Giant and four Edwards Cash Saver stores. Edwards Food Giant stores are located in Bryant, Little Rock (four), Marianna, Forrest City and Harrisburg. Edwards Cash Savers are located in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville and Beebe. Parent company GES Inc., which is based in Marianna, was formed in 1968 by the Edwards family.
